Thank you for being so patient with me. I am very excited about coming back to work. I do seriously miss your children when I don't get to see them. I can't wait to start out new EGYPT unit. *I have a surprise to share - but not just yet! It's an amazing opportunity!

We are continuing our studies in our chapter textbooks; Egypt Chapt 3, Lesson 1. Last week students looked up new vocabulary for this unit and turned it in. On Friday, thye discussed Egyptian Geography. Both assignments. Both assignments have been turned in. If your child is missing this, please tell them to tell me ASAP!

January 7: 1. We will start off class by redoing a part of the vocabulary page that was not done correctly by all students. The directions stated: Choose three of the vocabulary words from this chapter and include them in an original sentence. Most students just took one of the words and used it, but will need to correctly interpret the lesson by using all three words in a sentence. This is an assignment that will need to be turned in by the end of class on Monday. I will list several examples on the board. 2. We will also be completed looking at an Egyptian Map (After we fly to Egypt from CIS in Dennion, OH, to Egypt) and we will study the lay out of the surrounding cities and towns and it's importance to history now and then.

No more than 50 checkmarks total for the entire first nine weeks (combination of entire class)

To read a combination of 250 AR points (10 points each)

Personal Goals First Nine Weeks:

Math 75% and above

Reading 75% and above

Class Responsibility -

No more than 10 checkmarks for the entire third nine weeks.

No more than one red for the entire nine weeks period!

AR Goal:

As set by Ms. Beach/Mrs. Pal. our reading teacher. Ms. Beach will be keeping track of this in her classroom!

*Your child should be reading every night! EVERY NIGHT!
